Yes. Switch to “By target size”, enter the KB you want, and the tool automatically binary-searches quality and, when needed, lowers resolution to fit within that size. Note that only lossy formats like JPG / WebP / AVIF can hit an exact target — lossless formats such as PNG can only approach it by shrinking dimensions.
When compressing by quality you can freely adjust the quality value — higher means closer to the original. Around 80% usually strikes an excellent balance between size and clarity, with differences barely visible to the eye. Lower it for a smaller file; the tool shows before/after sizes live so you can weigh the trade-off.

PNG is lossless, so the quality setting has no effect and it often won't shrink. Pick WebP or AVIF under “Output format” instead — they compress photos and complex images far better than PNG, usually cutting the size significantly while staying sharp.
